Will Obama legalize marijuana? That is a huge topic in many stoner circles these days. Many think he might bring the change he promised by doing so and other wouldn’t get their hopes up. I use to think he might, but after many hours of pondering my answer to this question is…No. Here are the top 5 reasons why he won’t.
President Obama’s campaign was one of the most successful campaigns in history. He raised a record breaking amount of money and was even hailed as a messiah in some circles. He got the nation dreaming of a brighter tomorrow with the words hope and change. Every car had either word plastered on their rear window or bumper. Every celebrity was eager to show their support. Mainstream media put his face everywhere and the youth sang of his praises. Well, of course it was a big success and Obama became the 44th president of the United States.

I voted for him simply for the fact that I think he will do a better job than McCain would have. McCain lost my vote with one quote, “We could be in Iraq for 100 years.” And one bad decision. SARAH PALIN. Well the fact that Obama has African Ancestry sure helped seal the deal in my eyes being of African decent myself, but I didn’t think he was gonna get the keys to the White House and immediately start saving babies from burning buildings and pave the streets in gold like many seemed to. His job is to pull the nation out of one of our worst recessions ever. Hes taking the field after our previous quarterback threw four interceptions that were each ran back for six. Of course we’re gonna loose the game, we live in reality, but i think we have hope (sorry) in savaging our season. Hes not following Joe Montana. He was not sworn in days after Kennedy was shot. Hes following BUSH. We just had eight years of Ryan Leaf, so be patient people and lets stop the talk how we were lied to. He hasn’t completed his first drive.
I’m sorry to say that although I approve of Obama I don’t think he is brave enough to legalize marijuana any time soon. He is surrounded by many doubters and they will consider themselves right if he even entertains the idea right now. We would have to wait a few more years for the legalization to gain support and that duty falls on our shoulders. The Obama administration has said it will not prosecute medical marijuana patients in states where it is legal. So he have to focus on decriminalization state wide before we moving on to nation wide.
A plant takes month to grow and moments to burn and someone has to get their hands dirty to grow one again. Growers know this better than anyone.
District Attorney Mike Ramsey doesn’t want any marijuana dispensaries in Chico, California. He dislikes them so much, in fact, that he threatened to jail members of the city council if they allow the pot shops in town.
He was a popular running back with the Denver Broncos, rushing for more than a 1,000 yards in 2004. Now, FOX 31 has learned that Reuben Droughns is under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Agency for growing marijuana inside his Centennial home.
Sources say Droughns is raising the medicinal marijuana defense, but the DEA isn’t immediately buying it. He’s under investigation after federal agents searched his Centennial home and found an indoor marijuana grow operation in spare bedrooms.
